Pearl Tavern began with a simple idea: bring the coast a little closer to home.

When we opened our doors in Lee’s Summit in 2018, we wanted to create the kind of neighborhood seafood spot we felt our hometown was missing—one where fresh oysters, seafood classics and coastal-inspired dishes could share the table with great cocktails, familiar favorites and genuine hospitality.

From the beginning, Pearl was designed to feel approachable rather than overly formal: a place to gather for oysters and drinks, settle in for dinner, or simply escape to the coast for a few hours—without ever leaving Lee’s Summit.

It was a natural next chapter from the local restaurant team behind Summit Grill and Third Street Social, and an opportunity to bring something entirely new to the community where it all started. Today, that original idea still guides us: fresh seafood, good drinks and a neighborhood tavern that feels like your own little piece of the coast.
